IF THIS RULE IS LINKED IN THE FIRST POST OF ANY TOPIC, THE TOPIC CREATOR HAS CHOSEN TO ESTABLISH A "ROUND ROBIN" POSTING ORDER. ALTHOUGH OPTIONAL PER TOPIC, THIS POSTING ORDER WILL BE ENFORCED JUST LIKE ANY OTHER RULE.

about this posting order
What is round robin posting?
I hope that the idea of posting order is pretty simplistic to all of you: it's the order you need to post in.
Round robin means taking turns in the order you posted initially. For example, if Jack, Fred and Lauren are all roleplaying and Jack posts, he has to wait for Fred and Lauren to reply before he can post again. The same goes for Lauren and Fred.
If Harriet decides she wants to join the roleplay [and it's open], she may post at any time, and when she posts she establishes her place in the order. For example, if Harriet chooses to post between Fred and Lauren, the order becomes Jack, then Fred, then Harriet, then Lauren.
Why establish a posting order?
Some people don't have time to visit the site for hours every day. There's nothing more frustrating than having to switch over to reality for awhile and come back to find the roleplay has moved on without them. Have you ever left a topic and returned to find twenty new posts, with your character left in the dust? A posting order will prevent that.
Are there any exceptions?
If the topic creator hasn't linked this post in his intro, you don't have to follow posting order. It's an optional rule for people who don't feel they have enough time to keep up with the faster members of the site.
Also, if it's been more than a week since the last post and the current poster hasn't yet replied, you may move on without them. However, please give them the chance to rejoin if they do come back.
